During the operation of your excavator, are you just following the routine and ignoring its work? Here are some tips on how to improve the efficiency of the excavator.

First, when driving an excavator to dig soil, the arm cylinder is generally used as the main force, and the boom cylinder is used as the auxiliary force. The angle of the bucket teeth should be adjusted according to the movement trajectory of the bucket arm. The bucket teeth must be “inserted” into the soil, not “slapped” into the soil. After inserting to a certain depth, hook the bucket and lift the arm. Such a cycle is a perfect excavation process.

Second, if you are digging along the soil and encounter hard soil, it is best to cut the soil with two or three bucket teeth first, and then dig it out together. This can effectively improve the overall excavation efficiency.

Third, in loading operations or other operations that require efficiency, the bucket must be filled every time you dig. After lifting the bucket, try to suspend all other actions and only focus on the swing action alone to achieve the fastest speed of the swing action.

Fourth, when we rotate while digging, the bucket is not horizontal, but slightly open, so that the soil will not be thrown out from the back of the bucket due to inertia, and the bucket will open faster when unloading the soil.

Fifth, when unloading the soil, you must not rely entirely on the action of the bucket to dump the soil, but while opening the bucket, use the bucket bar to instantly retract, and then open it again to throw the soil out faster.

Excavator drivers can improve excavation efficiency in many ways. After mastering the above skills, whether you are a large excavator, a medium excavator, or a small excavator driver, you should have some insights and start working now.
